What you will do

• Provide underwriting support, counsel, and authorization for real estate title insurance commitments and policies.
• Evaluate and approve title insurance risks within delegated authority and established underwriting guidelines.
• Advise internal teams, agents, and customers on real estate settlement services and transaction matters.
• Align underwriting practices with company processes, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Support daily underwriting operations, process consistency, and risk mitigation.

Requirements

• Law degree and admission to practice law in good standing in the state of employment.
• 8–10 years of title underwriting experience; commercial experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of real estate law, applicable federal and state regulations, title insurance concepts, settlement processes, and underwriting practices.
• Strong risk assessment, decision-making, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively, manage multiple priorities, and work decisively in a fast-paced environment.
