Political Science Non-Tenure Track Faculty (Applicant Pool)

hirify.global’s Department of Political Science provides undergraduate and graduate education focused on civic engagement, ethics, power, policy, law, governance, critical thinking, communication, and research.

What you will do

• Teach undergraduate political science courses in open sub-fields such as American Politics, Political Theory, Public Administration and Policy, International Relations, and Research Methods.
• Deliver instruction in on-campus or online formats.
• Advise, evaluate, and assist students.
• Build classroom rapport with freshmen and mentor students from all backgrounds.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff and contribute to organizational or program activities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in political science, public administration, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience teaching undergraduate students.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use engaging pedagogy and work independently.
• This position is not eligible for new sponsorship.

Nice to have

• PhD in Political Science, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Experience teaching political science courses.
• Knowledge of college student development.
• Potential to provide leadership and assume responsibility for program activities.

Culture & Benefits

• Non-tenure-track pooled appointments are available for the fall or spring semester.
• Appointments are part-time and may last from a few weeks to a semester or academic year.
• Course load, duration, and funding determine appointment details and salary.
• Positions of 0.5 FTE or more may be represented by the Associated Faculty of hirify.global.
