Head of ETP, Voltron Platform (Billing Platform)

Location: Fully remote for applicants residing in the continental United States; hybrid for applicants in the Denver, Colorado metro area.

Salary: $220,000–$245,000 USD annualized base salary, with potential eligibility for a discretionary annual incentive plan.

What you will do

• Own the complete billing lifecycle for complex enterprise and carrier customers, from account setup and subscription activation through invoicing, adjustments, disputes, collections support, and account closure.
• Serve as the senior business owner for Zuora Billing, overseeing governance, configuration, product catalogs, rate plans, subscriptions, usage, bill runs, taxation, payments, credits, and account hierarchies.
• Lead integrations between Zuora and Salesforce, CPQ, order management, service inventory, mediation, tax, payment, ERP, data warehouse, and customer portal systems.
• Drive quote-to-cash transformation by improving contract-to-billing handoffs, billing readiness, automation, straight-through processing, and product-launch readiness.
• Maintain billing controls, reconciliations, audit trails, SOX-related support, and alignment between billing events and revenue recognition.
• Build and develop a high-performing billing organization, including managers and specialists in operations, Zuora administration, controls, analytics, and customer issue resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 12 years of progressive experience in billing, finance operations, order-to-cash, or subscription management.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience managing billing teams in complex, high-volume environments.
• Significant hands-on and leadership experience with Zuora Billing and recurring, usage-based, and consumption-based billing models.
• Experience with complex B2B contracts, billing disputes, Zuora integrations, financial controls, reconciliations, audits, and transformation initiatives.
• Applicants must currently reside in the continental United States; Denver metro applicants should expect a hybrid arrangement.

Nice to have

• Experience in telecommunications, fiber networks, data centers, cloud services, SaaS, managed services, utilities, or another recurring-revenue industry.
• Knowledge of Salesforce CRM or CPQ, Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Avalara, or Vertex.
• Experience with Zuora Revenue, Payments, Collections, Workflow, or Data Query.
• Experience supporting acquisitions, billing-platform migrations, product catalog rationalization, or customer-account conversions.
• CPA, CMA, MBA, or Zuora certification.
