What you will do

  • Provide acquisition support to the Office of Acquisition Management and Management and Budget within NNSA.
  • Close various contract types, including cost-type contracts, and prepare complete closeout files.
  • Review contractor documentation, obtain required reports, and communicate with contractors and other organizations.
  • Prepare contract modifications to de-obligate excess funds and complete contract closeout actions.
  • Update automated systems, distribute finalized documentation, and submit closed files for records disposition.
  • Request and reconcile audit information from the Defense Contract Audit Agency or NNSA and provide cost/price analysis.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • At least three years of contracting experience, including general and cost-type contract closeout procedures.
  • Experience with contract administration and various types of contract modifications.
  • Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and Department of Energy Acquisition Regulation.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, with discretion when working with vendors, contractors, universities, and nonprofit organizations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Microsoft Edge, and Adobe Acrobat.
