What you will do
- Conduct independent fundamental credit research across assigned sectors and issuers.
- Assess issuer and security relative value across capital structures and comparable companies.
- Develop investment recommendations aligned with portfolio strategy, return objectives, and risk-adjusted return potential.
- Produce concise research and communicate credit strengths, risks, and investment views to portfolio managers and traders.
- Monitor industry, technological, macroeconomic, and external risks affecting profitability and cash flow.
- Build relationships with Wall Street analysts, rating agencies, research firms, and company management teams.
Requirements
- At least eight years of experience in leveraged finance, fixed income investments, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated investment judgment, prudent risk management, and progressive responsibility.
- Experience managing, mentoring, and developing investment professionals.
- Strong command of relative value investing within a total return mandate.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, written, oral communication, prioritization, and decision-making skills; proficiency with Bloomberg, Microsoft Office, and Copilot.
Nice to have
- Master of Science or MBA.
- CFA designation or progress toward the CFA designation.
- Experience with computer programming, data analytics, or related technology tools.
- Experience integrating AI-enabled tools into research workflows while maintaining appropriate controls and data governance.
