What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain secure REST APIs and microservices using .NET Core and ASP.NET Core.
- Build backend services for high-volume payments, accounts, transactions, and financial integrations.
- Lead architecture and system design for scalable, secure, performant, distributed, and event-driven systems.
- Participate in production incident calls, troubleshoot failures, implement hotfixes, and drive root-cause fixes.
- Design and optimize SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and other relational or NoSQL data systems.
- Collaborate with architects, product teams, QA, DevOps, infrastructure, and domain teams while mentoring engineers and conducting code reviews.
Requirements
- 8–12+ years of backend development experience and proven experience building enterprise-grade applications and APIs.
- Strong financial services, banking, or fintech experience is mandatory.
- Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core, .NET 8+, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, Web APIs, microservices, and Entity Framework or other ORM tools.
- Experience with SQL Server and database design, distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and scalability patterns.
- Experience with at least one cloud platform: Azure, AWS, or GCP; familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of API security, OAuth2, JWT, OIDC, encryption, data protection, and financial compliance standards such as PCI and SOX.
Nice to have
- Experience with low-latency trading or real-time systems and payment systems such as ACH, RTP, cards, or SWIFT.
- Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ, Domain-Driven Design, Redis, identity platforms, core banking integrations, or API gateways such as Apigee.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
