TL;DR
Software Engineering Professional (Security): Developing and supporting software and systems-engineering solutions for BT Business technical services with an accent on secure working practices, requirements capture, application development, and software testing. Focus on designing and implementing technical solutions, diagnosing software defects, monitoring systems, and maintaining adherence to security requirements.
Location: On-site in Ipswich, Cheltenham, London or Manchester, United Kingdom. Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Must have lived in the UK for 10+ years to oain DV Security Clearance.

What you will do
- Follow area-specific security requirements and secure working practices.
- Capture and refine requirements with customers and stakeholder representatives.
- Design and implement software and systems-engineering solutions for Business services.
- Test and review solutions against agreed requirements.
- Monitor systems, perform housekeeping tasks, and diagnose and repair software defects.
- Support engineering and operational excellence initiatives.
Requirements
- Programming and scripting experience.
- Application development experience.
- Troubleshooting experience.
- Agile development experience.
- Software testing experience.
- DV-level Developed Vetting Security Clearance is required.
Nice to have
- Shell scripting with PowerShell or Bash.
- Frontend development with JavaScript, TypeScript, React or Vue.
- Python, Java or C# development.
- Git, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, MySQL or SQL Server experience.
- Experience liaising with stakeholders and customers.
