MedTech Field Service Technician - Part-Time - Pocatello/Idaho Falls, ID

Location: Pocatello, Idaho, with local travel to customer sites for up to 2–3 hours. On-call field service work requires arrival within the applicable 4-, 8-, 12-, or 24-hour service-level agreement.

Salary: $27–$32 per hour.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and document work performed on automated medication dispensing systems.
• Replace hardware parts and perform software updates, calibrations, system checks, and product testing.
• Complete customer-scheduled biannual or annual preventative maintenance.
• Assist with installation and implementation of new devices at hospitals, pharmacies, and other clinical locations.
• Maintain and stock customer-assigned parts and tools, while providing technical customer support.
• Remain available for on-call assignments, including nights and weekends, and respond within ticket SLAs.

Requirements

• Intermediate troubleshooting skills in electronics, mechanics, and electromechanical systems.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide exceptional customer support independently.
• Ability to push, pull, stoop, bend, and lift up to 70 pounds.
• Active driver’s license and personal vehicle required; travel time and mileage are paid.
• Ability to complete hospital vendor credentialing and meet required vaccination and immunization requirements, subject to applicable accommodation rules.

Nice to have

• Experience as a military technician, computer technician, complex electronics technician, or automation technician in a healthcare setting.
• Background in healthcare, field service, engineering, biomedical work, maintenance, pharmacy technology, electronics, electrical work, technical support, or IT.
• A+ certification.
