What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain backend systems for data capture, shared platform models, event pipelines, asynchronous workers, APIs, and AI intelligence workflows.
- Build services that ingest and normalize communications data from enterprise platforms such as Microsoft, Slack, Zoom, Google, Bloomberg, Salesforce, and Archive.
- Develop and support API clients, authentication flows, synchronization orchestration, retries, backfills, and integrations.
- Debug production and customer issues involving data correctness, API behavior, asynchronous failures, performance, scale, and compliance-sensitive workflows.
- Collaborate through design reviews, code reviews, pair programming, technical writing, and pragmatic technical decision-making.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building production backend or full-stack systems and owning specific technical areas.
- Strong Python experience with typed code, testing, production debugging, and data modeling.
- Operational experience with relational databases and SQL; Postgres, schema design, query performance, migrations, and data correctness are relevant.
- Experience with distributed or asynchronous systems involving queues, workers, retries, idempotency, rate limits, and failure recovery.
- Experience integrating APIs, including OAuth, webhooks, pagination, and throttling.
- For full-stack candidates, TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern UI framework experience are required or highly valued.
Nice to have
- Postgres experience and strong knowledge of Python data modeling.
- Experience with React and TypeScript UI surfaces.
