Real Estate Attorney (Commercial Real Estate)

Location: Milwaukee, WI Corporate; hybrid

Salary: $144,000–$216,000 annually. Geographic-specific ranges may apply in eligible locations.

What you will do

• Provide primary legal counsel to real estate investment professionals.
• Structure, negotiate, and document complex commercial mortgage loans, including floating-rate, fixed-rate, permanent, and construction loans.
• Support real estate acquisitions, joint ventures, and development transactions.
• Advise on asset management and loan servicing matters, including development issues, joint venture amendments, loan transfers, leasing, and management agreements.
• Work primarily with in-house legal and real estate professionals on high-impact investment matters.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of legal experience in commercial mortgage lending, commercial real estate development, real estate joint ventures, or large commercial real estate acquisitions.
• Juris Doctorate degree and an exemplary academic record.
• License to practice law in Wisconsin or a commitment to become licensed within the first year of employment.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and practical business judgment skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity, collaborate effectively, and adapt to evolving business needs.
