Web Applications Developer II

Location: College Station, Texas, United States. Telecommuting may be available, but onsite work at the College Station headquarters is required during the first year. Relocation expenses are not covered.

Salary: $5,902.50 per month

Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service provides emergency response training, workforce training, technical assistance, cybersecurity support, and homeland security services.

What you will do

• Plan and develop new and existing web functionality and applications.
• Provide support and maintenance for current and newly developed applications.
• Gather and analyze requirements from university departments, faculty, and staff.
• Implement responsive web design and technology across site development.
• Ensure web functions comply with accessibility requirements.
• Manage web development using revision control software and report to the Agency Program Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Four years of experience in web development or programming with relational databases, dynamic web applications, responsive development, and web development consulting or strategy.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to data security and contract requirements.
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
• Equivalent education and experience combinations may be considered, including an associate degree with six years of relevant experience or a high school diploma/GED with eight years.
