Manager Product Engineering Automotive (Automotive MOSFET)

Location: Newport, UK, United Kingdom; onsite role with travel to offshore sites in the USA, Asia, and Europe

What you will do

• Manage new and established products within the Automotive MOSFET Division.
• Lead new product introduction from product definition and development through characterization, qualification, and release.
• Coordinate with market development, R&D, package and device design, manufacturing, product marketing, and application teams.
• Support product problem-solving and define technical presentations covering technical issues and project status.
• Work with Europe and Asia Pacific wafer fabrication and package assembly operations on yield enhancement and quality improvement.
• Define and review automotive product datasheets, technical specifications, and statistical test methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, microelectronics, or a similar field.
• Product engineering experience and strong knowledge of discrete power MOS semiconductor devices and trench MOS technologies.
• Experience driving new product introduction through characterization, qualification, and final datasheet release.
• Strong product and process problem-solving skills using statistical data analytics and yield management software.
• Experience supporting offshore package and wafer product transfers and interfacing with product engineers across Europe, Asia, and the USA.
• Familiarity with 8D and FMEA processes; willingness to travel to offshore sites is required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with automotive AEC Q101 testing and qualification methods.
• Familiarity with MOSFET semiconductor ATE wafer and package test methods.
