IT Analyst (Automotive Manufacturing)

Location: Normal, United States; onsite at an automotive manufacturing plant. 2nd shift: 3:30 p.m.–12:00 a.m., with flexibility required.

Salary: $70,000–$80,000 per year

What you will do

• Support plant management with continuous improvement initiatives and IT service requests.
• Participate in projects delivering new initiatives, launches, and service improvements.
• Provide Level 1 incident management and support for hardware, communications, networking, software, and shop-floor systems.
• Monitor and administer local IT infrastructure, maintain backups, and coordinate hardware and infrastructure installations.
• Apply security and vulnerability standards, maintain IT service documentation, and track operational metrics.
• Partner with production and engineering teams to support MODAPTS data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of IT-related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, or an associate/technical IT degree with 2+ years of experience or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of Windows administration for servers and PCs.
• Experience with networking infrastructure and architecture.
• Communication, analytical, project management, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Availability for 7x24 on-call support for critical plant operations, overtime, weekends, and a flexible 2nd-shift schedule.

Nice to have

• Experience in manufacturing, preferably automotive manufacturing.
• Manufacturing Execution System experience.
• Basic database knowledge and report-writing skills.
• Technical certifications or continuous improvement training.
