Assistant General Counsel & Assistant Secretary - Institutional Investments (Structured Finance)

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States; hybrid

Salary: $176,000–$264,000 annually. Geographic-specific pay structures may apply in eligible locations.

What you will do

• Provide legal support for the 720 East collateralized loan obligation platform.
• Review offering memorandums, indentures, engagement letters, warehouse agreements, collateral management agreements, control agreements, and other investment documents.
• Advise on asset management activities for the CLO platform and general account investment portfolio.
• Handle amendments, waivers, restructurings, bankruptcies, realizations, and regulatory matters.
• Manage the CLO platform’s participation in liability management exercises.
• Collaborate with Law Department members and business professionals to assess risks and deliver practical legal advice.

Requirements

• At least five years of legal experience in collateralized loan obligations, corporate finance, commercial lending, structured finance, bankruptcy, or restructurings.
• Juris Doctorate degree and an exemplary academic record.
• Admission to practice law in Wisconsin, or a commitment to become licensed within the first year of employment, is required.
• Strong legal analysis, communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and business judgment skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing business needs.
• High ethical standards, attention to detail, curiosity, creativity, and comfort with ambiguity.
