Job Coach - Part-Time (Disability Employment Support): Providing on-site coaching, workplace training, and individualized support for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities with an accent on independence, employment goals, and workplace communication. Focus on teaching job tasks, tracking progress, supporting mobility and personal care needs, and helping clients overcome barriers to employment.
Location: Portland, Oregon, USA; on-site work with travel between employment sites
Salary: $22 per hour

What you will do
- Provide one-on-one workplace training and teach clients how to complete job tasks.
- Use prompts, coaching, and personalized support to build independence and employment skills.
- Monitor and document progress, challenges, work performance, and support needs.
- Help clients set goals, overcome barriers, communicate with employers and coworkers, and develop positive work and life skills.
- Provide job-search assistance, interview preparation, and resume development when needed.
- Maintain workplace safety and provide personal care or mobility support as required.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience as a Job Coach or at least 1 year of experience supporting people with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle required; this is a driving position. Mileage during shifts is reimbursed.
- Availability for both Saturday and Sunday, including day and evening shifts.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and data entry.
- Ability to meet all Oregon State Department of Human Services requirements.
- Strong communication, advocacy, patience, compassion, adaptability, and ability to work independently.
