Cash / Commercial Paper Trader (Finance)

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States; hybrid schedule. Working hours generally run from 6am–4pm CT.

What you will do

• Manage daily cash portfolios within mandate, including liquidity, allocation, yield optimization, compliance monitoring, execution, and settlement issue resolution.
• Develop and apply expertise in commercial paper, money market funds, and repo markets.
• Negotiate repo rates, manage lent collateral, monitor mark-to-market requirements and counterparty limits, and optimize portfolio income within risk parameters.
• Execute Treasury security and Treasury futures trades in alignment with portfolio managers’ interest-rate strategies.
• Coordinate the daily cash trading cycle with portfolio management, middle office, investment operations, treasury, and accounting teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience with commercial paper and repo markets, money market funds, yield curves, and Federal Reserve policy.
• Ability to work the role’s required 6am–4pm Central Time schedule.
• Ability to work independently and calmly during deadline-driven daily trading cycles.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to improve processes using technology and data.

Nice to have

• Experience with Bloomberg, Excel, or similar financial systems.
• Ability to communicate market insights through data analysis, visualizations, and narrative.
