What you will do
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care during labor, prenatal care, and postpartum recovery.
- Monitor fetal heart rate, assess labor progress, provide pain-management support, and manage potential complications.
- Safely conduct vaginal deliveries and act as first assist during cesarean sections.
- Provide telephone triage for obstetric and gynecologic patients.
- Educate patients about breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum recovery.
- Maintain detailed EPIC medical records and participate in the education of students and residents.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nurse-Midwifery from an accredited program.
- Certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife by the American Midwifery Certification Corporation.
- At least two years of hospital-based labor and delivery experience.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnosis, and intervention skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
