Continuous Improvement Manager (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead process optimization and improvement initiatives across furniture production operations.
• Develop equipment specifications and oversee the acquisition and installation of new technologies.
• Implement cellular manufacturing and lean practices while establishing and enforcing standard operating processes.
• Manage Engineering, Continuous Improvement, and Time Study resources, including up to 8 direct reports.
• Partner with plant leadership to develop business strategies, improve the quality management system, and address process and performance gaps.
• Facilitate structured problem-solving, operator training, project prioritization, budget interpretation, and savings validation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, with 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• 3–5 years of supervisory or leadership experience, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to support plant production, analyze business metrics, and implement process improvements across the value stream.
• Ability to travel up to 10% and meet the company’s Driver Management Program qualifications when driving is required.
• Ability to perform regular sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and repetitive hand motions, including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Lean or Lean Six Sigma experience.
