Practice Lead, Health (Maternity Cover)

Location: London, United Kingdom. Hybrid working model with three days in the office and two days remote. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Implement the strategic vision for the Health Cluster and develop differentiated market offers.
• Build and manage a diversified pipeline of new business opportunities.
• Lead major tender strategies, including positioning, pricing, partnerships, and pitching.
• Develop senior-level relationships with government, donor, private-sector, and global health clients.
• Provide senior oversight of portfolio delivery, technical quality, financial performance, and client satisfaction.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of 2–4 staff members and oversee the wider Health cluster.

Requirements

• Senior leadership and technical experience in health systems strengthening.
• Proven success winning work, especially with new clients and diversification initiatives.
• Experience overseeing large, complex programmes with multiple stakeholders, including FCDO.
• Strong network across the global health sector, including donors, institutions, foundations, pharmaceutical companies, and health product companies.
• Strategic thinking, commercial judgement, clear communication, and strong people leadership.
• Right to work in the UK required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Expertise in sexual and reproductive health and rights, demographic transition, public financial management, or health financing.
