Senior Project Manager (Scientific Research)

Salary: USD $90,000–$110,000 per year

What you will do

• Support the preparation, review, routing, and tracking of research proposals and agreement packages.
• Track staffing coverage, budget estimates, service rates, and monthly budget execution for assigned scientific divisions.
• Monitor project schedules, performance metrics, milestones, deliverables, risks, and corrective action plans.
• Manage project change requests and review documentation related to cost, schedule, and scope changes.
• Coordinate with division chiefs, principal investigators, study staff, and service areas to facilitate project execution.
• Provide quality control for project documents, manuscripts, reports, procurement documentation, and research-related submissions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• At least 5 years of professional experience, including 2 or more years in a science laboratory environment.
• At least 1 year of project management experience, a degree in project management, or a current PMP certification.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Project.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, interpersonal, and multitasking skills.
• Successful completion of background and drug screening is required.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Department of Defense RDT&E programs.
• Experience in biomedical, laboratory, or regulated research environments.
• Experience coordinating research proposals, project schedules, budgets, and scientific or technical documentation.
