What you will do
- Coordinate implementation of the annual Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning plan, including data collection, monitoring, and impact case studies.
- Monitor progress, identify delivery risks and gaps, and coordinate follow-up actions.
- Coordinate data quality assurance and maintain MEL databases, participant records, outcome tracking databases, and evaluation datasets.
- Prepare program reports, learning briefs, presentations, data visualisations, and other evidence products.
- Support stakeholder consultations, partner reflection processes, learning events, and MEL assistance for program teams and partners.
- Improve the functionality, interoperability, accessibility, and reporting efficiency of MEL systems and digital tools.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in monitoring and evaluation, management, education, gender studies, social sciences, or another relevant development field.
- Early- to mid-career experience in MEL, research, statistics, data management, or related work, preferably in bilateral or multilateral development programs.
- Experience implementing MEL systems, data collection and quality assurance processes, data management, analysis, reporting, evaluations, and evidence generation.
- Experience with both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, database management, advanced Excel, and Power BI.
- Strong stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, organisational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Professional fluency in English and Vietnamese, written and spoken; valid work rights in Vietnam required. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Nice to have
- Experience in climate change, resilience, natural resource management, education, human resource development, or related development sectors.
- Knowledge of DFAT cross-cutting priorities, including GEDSI, disability inclusion, safeguarding, and climate change adaptation.
- Knowledge of Australia’s and Vietnam’s climate change adaptation and development priorities.
