Location: Onsite in Brownsville, Texas, United States; flexibility to work any shift.

What you will do

• Produce short- and long-term tip-driven and enterprise investigations.
• Work with the Investigative Producer and collaborate with the investigative journalism team.
• Pursue follow-up reports and develop investigative angles during major news stories.
• Cover specific investigative beats, incoming tips, and accountability stories.
• Research, interview subjects and sources, and use public information requests to uncover problems and corruption.
• Shoot, edit, and present digital video stories, including ad-libbed presentations without scripts or teleprompters.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of data analysis, public information requests, backgrounding, interviewing, and digital storytelling.
• Proficiency in shooting and editing digital video.
• Exceptional research skills and strong reading, writing, spelling, grammar, and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate with a full investigative team and meet deadlines.
• Confidence presenting ad-libbed reports without scripts or teleprompters.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
