Sr. Field Applications Specialist (Diagnostics)

Location: Remote from the United States, based in the Los Angeles, California / San Diego, California area; conditions list Phoenix, Arizona. Requires up to 95% domestic and occasional international travel with overnight stays, including onsite customer visits.

Salary: $40.00–$46.00 per hour, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Prepare customers for and complete validation studies for Chemistry and Immunoassay instrumentation.
• Perform instrument setup, calibration, precision studies, and method comparisons.
• Provide onsite and remote support for assay and quality-control questions.
• Train customer Key Operators on proper instrumentation operation and reinforce readiness.
• Address operational and performance questions according to specifications and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with Technical Support, Field Service, Sales, and Customer Training teams.

Requirements

• Associate's degree and at least 3 years of combined experience in laboratory, diagnostic instrumentation, or a related field.
• Advanced understanding of the diagnostics or healthcare industry, particularly laboratory regulatory environments.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel by air and road up to 95%, including overnight stays.
• Ability to lift, move, and place up to 50 lbs and perform prolonged standing, walking, sitting, squatting, kneeling, and stair climbing.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree.
• Medical Laboratory Science experience.
• Experience with laboratory management practices, quality control, record keeping, and CAP, CLIA, or COLA requirements.
