What you will do
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, mental status examinations, and diagnostic interviews.
- Diagnose and treat mental health disorders using evidence-based practices.
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications.
- Educate patients about mental health conditions and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Document patient care accurately and promptly.
Requirements
- Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner qualification required.
- Ability to provide behavioral health services, including support for PHP and IOP programs and the Behavioral Health Unit.
- Experience with the EPIC EMR.
- Availability to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for 30 clinical hours.
Nice to have
- 2+ years of experience in an emergency department setting.
