TL;DR
Sr. Advanced Manufacturing Engineer - Wire Harnesses (Manufacturing/Wire Harnesses): Designing, developing, and industrializing wire harness systems for production while leading execution from engineering through manufacturing with an accent on harness architecture, production tooling, validation, and shop-floor integration. Focus on leading technicians, optimizing line layouts and build efficiency, managing FMEA and control plans, and supporting high-volume production.
Location: Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA; predominantly on-site in manufacturing and engineering environments, with occasional travel to suppliers, validation sites, and production sites.

What you will do
- Lead the design, development, and industrialization of wire harness systems for production.
- Own project execution across engineering and manufacturing phases.
- Directly supervise harness technicians and lab/build personnel.
- Partner with production teams to optimize line layout, tooling, assembly methods, and build efficiency.
- Define harness architecture, including connectors, terminals, routing, shielding, protection systems, and high-volume production fixtures.
- Lead DFMEA/PFMEA, control plans, validation activities, and manufacturing ramp-up support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology.
- At least 5 years of related engineering experience in a similar working environment.
- Experience with wire harness design and manufacturing integration.
- Ability to lead technicians and support production-floor, laboratory, and cross-functional activities.
- Experience using CATIA, NX, Creo, Capital, or Zuken E3 and PLM systems.
Nice to have
- Experience with production support, NPI, manufacturing ramp-ups, and high-mix/low-volume production.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly methods, quality systems, automation, digital manufacturing, or Industry 4.0 practices.
- Experience with advanced manufacturing, EV, industrial equipment, high-voltage, or complex electrical systems.
- PMP certification or equivalent program management experience.
- Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
