TL;DR

Focus on conducting admission evaluations, adjusting medications, supporting insurance authorizations, and collaborating with behavioral health staff during approximately one on-site day per week.
Location: Wasilla, Alaska, US; on-site only with no remote work
Salary: $125–$175 per hour in the posting range. Detailed ranges vary by provider type: MD/DO $150–$200/hour, Psychiatric NP $100–$150/hour, and PA $90–$130/hour.

What you will do
- Complete medical evaluations and admission assessments within required timeframes.
- Evaluate mental, emotional, behavioral, and substance use disorders and determine appropriate treatment placement.
- Provide ongoing medical follow-up and prescribe, initiate, or adjust medications, including withdrawal-management medications.
- Conduct peer-to-peer reviews and support insurance authorization requirements.
- Maintain accurate EHR documentation and comply with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality requirements.
- Collaborate with behavioral health and clinical staff to provide comprehensive client care.
Requirements
- MD/DO, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant qualifications with the required Alaska license and credentials.
- Board certification in Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, or an applicable behavioral health specialty for MD/DO candidates.
- Current DEA license, required certifications, and liability/malpractice coverage where applicable.
- Knowledge of psychotropic medications and medication management.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification where required.
- Availability for approximately one on-site day per week, up to six hours per day, in Wasilla, Alaska.
Nice to have
- Experience in substance use treatment, addiction medicine, psychiatry, behavioral health, withdrawal management, or medication-assisted treatment.
- Psychiatric assessment and medication-management experience.
