Plant Cost Analyst (Manufacturing Finance)

Location: Kunshan City, China; hybrid work with home office opportunity two days per week after probation

What you will do

• Provide financial business partnering support to the Plant Manager and local leadership.
• Analyze product costs, unit cost performance, productivity metrics, cost drivers, and improvement opportunities.
• Lead the annual budgeting process for plant costs, production capacity, and product profitability.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives and support productivity improvement projects with plant functions.
• Maintain standard costing processes, material master data accuracy, and costing integrity.
• Coordinate monthly production cost variance forecasting, plant financial reporting, and KPI analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Plant Controlling, Cost Accounting, FP&A, Manufacturing Finance, or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, product costing, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Understanding of manufacturing operations, production processes, capacity planning, and productivity measurement.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Fluent English communication skills, written and spoken, for work in a global organization.

Nice to have

• Experience in multinational manufacturing companies and regional or global plant finance operations.
• CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, financial automation tools, Lean, or Six Sigma projects.
