Senior Underwriting Counsel (Real Estate)

Location: Remote for candidates residing in Texas or Oklahoma. The listed office address is 4795 Regent Blvd., Floors 1 & 2, Irving, Texas 75063.

Salary: $129,300–$172,300 annually.

What you will do

• Provide underwriting support, counsel, and authorization for real estate title insurance commitments and policies.
• Underwrite title insurance issuance within delegated authority limits and established guidelines.
• Guide personnel, agents, and customers on real estate settlement services.
• Develop and issue underwriting standards and guidelines in line with company processes.
• Communicate underwriting and settlement-service information to the team.

Requirements

• Law degree required.
• Admission to practice and an active law license in good standing in the state of employment.
• 8–10 years of title underwriting experience, including Texas or Oklahoma title underwriting experience.
• Strong knowledge of real estate law, title insurance, settlement processes, and applicable federal and state regulations.
• Excellent communication, organization, negotiation, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to analyze complex issues, develop creative solutions, and make sound underwriting decisions.
