Focus on executing acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, restructurings, refinancings, and equity raises, coordinating due diligence and legal documentation, and supervising analyst-level bankers.

What you will do
- Support the origination and execution of M&A, leveraged finance, ECM, securities issuance, and capital restructuring transactions.
- Build detailed financial models, analyze company and industry data, and develop transaction structures, pricing guidance, and financial analysis.
- Prepare pitch materials, confidential information memoranda, board and management presentations, ratings agency presentations, and lender or roadshow materials.
- Coordinate with Managing Directors, Vice Presidents, product groups, Sponsor Coverage, and Corporate Banking teams on business development and transaction strategies.
- Manage transaction screening, credit and underwriting approvals, required documentation, and execution activities through closing.
- Participate in accounting, business, and legal due diligence; work with clients, sponsors, and legal counsel on transaction documentation; supervise and develop analyst-level bankers.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of direct experience in investment banking, M&A, corporate finance, leveraged finance, or capital markets, including client interaction.
- Undergraduate degree with a strong academic record from a leading university.
- Excellent command of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with financial services software such as S&P CapitalIQ, S&P Leveraged Commentary, Advantage Data, Bloomberg, Thomson One, Thomson Loan Pricing Connector, or FactSet.
- FINRA Series 79 or Series 7 and Series 63 licenses, or willingness to obtain the required licenses within a short timeframe.
- Full-time, onsite work in Charlotte, North Carolina; Monday to Friday, 40+ hours per week.
