Forensic Technical Leader (Electrical/Mechanical)

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership, oversight, mentorship, and engineering guidance to assigned consultants.
• Review reports and deliverables for quality, professionalism, consistency, and technical accuracy.
• Develop investigative approaches and resolve technical challenges across active assignments.
• Conduct site visits and inspections, research insured businesses and machinery, and analyze repair-versus-replacement options, restoration costs, and related documentation.
• Manage insurance loss projects, coordinate vendors, OEMs, contractors, and other parties, and track repair or replacement timelines.
• Identify scope expansion and value-adding opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with insurance carriers, adjusters, and clients.

Requirements

• Expertise in electrical and/or mechanical engineering applied to technical consulting.
• Ability to lead consultants and provide clear technical direction and mentorship.
• Experience with project management, site inspections, technical investigations, and restoration assignments.
• Ability to produce objective, accurate, timely, and legally defensible reports.
• Strong documentation, communication, vendor coordination, and client-service skills.
• Must be able to work in or from the United States, with the role located in Mount Prospect, Illinois.
