Long Haul Fiber Test & Acceptance Project Manager (Fiber Optics)

Location: Remote - Colorado, United States; occasional in-person meetings and travel to client or construction sites required.

Estimated base salary: $77,100–$118,600 USD annually.

What you will do

• Manage outside-plant vendors responsible for fiber splicing, testing, construction, and delivery.
• Coordinate access to customer and network points of presence for splicing and testing activities.
• Plan and implement commercial and carrier fiber networks, backbone and lateral builds, and data center customer installations.
• Track project budgets, purchase orders, bids, schedules, documentation, and closeout activities in Sitetracker, Salesforce, and manual trackers.
• Coordinate customers, subcontractors, municipalities, jurisdictional authorities, and internal teams to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Participate in a mandatory rotating on-call schedule for network outages and emergency restoration activities.

Requirements

• At least five years of telecommunications industry experience involving outside plant, fiber optics, telecommunications architectures, optical transport equipment, and project management.
• At least three years of experience with outside-plant construction and management of large capital projects.
• Ability to read construction and fiber-splicing documents and manage quoting, construction, troubleshooting, and delivery.
• Proficiency with email, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Google Earth, and AutoCAD.
• Ability to manage aggressive RFP and design-construction schedules and responses.
• Valid driver's license and ability to perform on-site surveys and attend field meetings as required.
