The Data Analytics & Visualization Specialist, DART (Health Data Analytics)

Location: Kampala, Uganda, with national and regional travel as required. Current work authorization in Uganda is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain dashboards, data visualizations, indicator scorecards, and automated reports using approved NDWH data marts and national data sources.
• Design analytics for health information exchange performance, EMR use, facility readiness, service delivery, surveillance, supply chain, and project performance.
• Translate user and decision-maker needs into specifications, visual designs, and usable analytics products.
• Analyze trends, outliers, data-quality concerns, system-performance issues, and programmatic implications.
• Support baselines, quarterly progress reports, milestone evidence, JRF reports, and management dashboards.
• Document indicators, calculations, data sources, refresh schedules, limitations, and data lineage; train users in interpreting dashboards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, data science, public health, health informatics, economics, or a related field.
• At least four years of experience in health data analysis, visualization, business intelligence, or monitoring and evaluation.
• Proficiency in SQL and Excel, plus at least one visualization platform such as Power BI, Tableau, Superset, or DHIS2 Analytics.
• Strong visual communication, analytical reasoning, training, and English communication skills.
• Current work authorization in Uganda is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with health indicators, DHIS2, EMRs, NDWH, routine data quality, or government reporting.
