Senior Research Scientist (Semiconductors): Leading R&D and technical application activities for chemical intermediates, specialty chemicals, and formulated solutions used in semiconductor, advanced packaging, and display manufacturing with an accent on wet-process chemistry, application evaluations, and customer-focused technical development. Focus on designing experiments, developing materials and application technologies, analyzing industry trends, and troubleshooting technical challenges for regional customers.

What you will do

  • Lead and support R&D and technical application projects for semiconductor, advanced packaging, and electro-optic display industries.
  • Design and conduct laboratory evaluations for wafer cleaning, etching, lithography, and CMP-related applications.
  • Prepare application data packages for product promotion, customer trials, and internal decision-making.
  • Scout technologies and analyze industry trends, customer roadmaps, and unmet technical needs.
  • Collaborate with synthesis and global technology teams to develop new molecules, materials, and application technologies.
  • Provide regional customer support through troubleshooting, onsite assistance, technical presentations, and sample evaluations.

Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD degree in microelectronics, integrated circuit technology, electronics science, chemistry, applied chemistry, materials science, polymer science, or a related chemical field.
  • At least 5 years of industry experience; experience in an MNC is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductors or adjacent industries, including IC fabrication, advanced packaging, or OLED.
  • Experience with processing chemicals or chemical solutions for wafer cleaning, surface preparation, etching, or photoresist processes.
  • Ability to independently plan, execute, and manage technical workstreams, analyze experiments, and communicate results clearly.
  • Proficiency in both Mandarin and English, written and oral, is required.

Nice to have

  • Experience in semiconductor wet processes, CMP, lithography, or etching.
  • Experience working with chemical products for semiconductor manufacturing.
