What you will do
- Set technical direction and lead delivery execution for Public Investments engineering teams.
- Design solutions across React front ends, Node backend services, REST APIs, dbt transformations, and Snowflake data platforms.
- Decompose and sequence initiatives spanning applications, APIs, pipelines, and warehouse models.
- Establish standards for code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, reliability, security, and operational readiness.
- Manage architecture, integration, performance, security, and technical delivery risks.
- Lead engineers directly through coaching, performance management, career development, hiring, and succession planning.
Requirements
- Must work in the Milwaukee, WI corporate location under the hybrid arrangement.
- 8+ years of software and data engineering experience with strong full-stack and data platform expertise.
- Experience with a Public Investment Management System such as Aladdin Enterprise, Calypso, Bloomberg, or Charles River.
- Strong experience with React, backend services, REST API design, data warehousing, database performance tuning, and data governance.
- Experience leading engineers directly or demonstrated readiness to enter people leadership, with proven technical leadership across teams or complex initiatives.
- Ability to design secure, scalable, and observable enterprise systems and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Experience in investment services.
- Experience modernizing legacy applications and data pipelines.
- Experience with platform migration programs, phased cutovers, and shared engineering standards.
