What you will do

• Verify medical and pharmacy benefits by contacting insurers and using provider portals.
• Resolve drug coverage issues and support timely onboarding of specialty pharmacy patients.
• Confirm deductibles, copayments, effective dates, authorization, levels of care, and other reimbursement requirements.
• Review insurance coverage on the shipment date to reduce reimbursement risk and bad debt.
• Collaborate with internal departments and communicate professionally with patients and clients.
• Handle complex complaints using independent judgment and escalate issues when appropriate.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of medical insurance terminology and experience in healthcare, professional office work, or patient access preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
• Reliable cable broadband or fiber internet with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload is required for home work.

Nice to have

• Pharmacy or specialty pharmacy experience.
• Bachelor's degree.
