Printed Circuit Board Design Engineer (Aerospace): Designing and validating printed circuit assemblies for radar payloads and on-orbit processing systems with an accent on high-density digital and mixed-signal electronics, power regulation, RF interfaces, and spacecraft compute hardware. Focus on taking boards from schematic through layout, manufacturing, bring-up, and qualification while solving signal integrity, processing throughput, thermal, and reliability challenges.

What you will do

  • Design advanced electronic platforms and printed circuit assemblies from architecture through manufacturing.
  • Create requirements, perform system trades, select components, capture schematics, and design complex electronic assemblies.
  • Collaborate with software, firmware, RF, antenna, digital, mechanical, and systems engineers.
  • Lead prototyping, hardware bring-up, debugging, manufacturing, and test campaigns.
  • Validate and iteratively improve designs using laboratory, environmental, and on-orbit testing.

Requirements

  • Experience with printed circuit board design and layout, electronics manufacturing, bring-up, and testing.
  • 4+ years of electrical engineering experience with full-lifecycle development from concept to production.
  • Experience with high-speed board design, PCB stack-up, fabrication, floorplanning, component selection, placement, routing, simulation, and measurement.
  • Hands-on experience with compute platforms including SoCs, FPGAs, and MCUs; storage including DDR and SSDs; high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, SPI, and JESD204B; and RF components.
  • Expertise in signal and power integrity simulation and measurement, including oscilloscopes and network analyzers.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations under ITAR.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Background in consumer electronics, power electronics, communications, automotive, aerospace, or robotics.
