Studio Technician (Evening News)

hirify.global operates KRON 4, a Bay Area local news station and CW network affiliate, delivering television and streaming news productions.

What you will do

• Operate broadcast equipment including Tricaster, Ross Overdrive, studio management systems, teleprompters, audio systems, robotic cameras, transmission systems, and related production tools.
• Execute live newscasts, breaking-news coverage, recorded productions, and KRON streaming services.
• Coordinate technical operators during newscasts and other live productions.
• Communicate and document information clearly with crew members, news producers, and the assignment team.
• Act as a daily liaison between news, engineering, and production departments.
• Test equipment daily and resolve technical issues during live operations.

Requirements

• Demonstrable skills in live broadcast production, automation, and live breaking-news execution.
• Proficiency operating broadcast and production equipment, with working knowledge of ENPS, MOS commands, video servers, and general broadcast systems.
• Three or more years of professional live television broadcast operations experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, multitasking, communication, and documentation skills in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
• Availability for all day parts, including weekends and holidays; overtime may be required.
