Equity Research Analyst, EME (Chinese Equities) (Chinese equity markets): Identifying quality businesses across greater China equity markets and producing investment recommendations through fundamentally driven, deeply analytical research with an accent on company analysis, valuation discrepancies, and Chinese market structure. Focus on generating alpha through bottom-up and top-down research, challenging investment views, and communicating actionable opinions to China, emerging markets, and global equity portfolio managers.
Location: Central Hong Kong, Hong Kong; office-based 4 days per week with flexibility to work remotely 1 day per week

What you will do
- Identify quality businesses across the greater China equity markets.
- Research Chinese companies using a fundamental, research-oriented, bottom-up approach.
- Assess market mispricing, valuation discrepancies, sector conditions, and macro perspectives.
- Develop investment recommendations and communicate actionable findings to China, emerging markets, and global equity portfolio management teams.
- Build relationships with company management teams and contribute to idea generation, portfolio construction, and risk management discussions.
- Challenge investment views and participate in an open, collaborative investment dialogue.
Requirements
- 6–8 years of relevant experience in an investment analyst role with demonstrated success.
- Extensive experience researching Chinese and/or Asian equities, with a strong track record of impactful research and alpha generation.
- Fluent written and spoken business Mandarin is required.
- Ability to approach research from both top-down and bottom-up perspectives.
- Strong investment acumen, analytical ability, communication skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong academic credentials; MBA or CFA preferred.
