Senior Financial Analyst - Investment Operations

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States; hybrid office environment with in-office work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Salary: $80,000–$106,000 annually, plus potential eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Coordinate, communicate, and prioritize asset transfer requests while ensuring business requirements are met on time.
• Perform PIMR accounting and reporting and maintain the integrity and accuracy of investment data.
• Review and approve ARCs reconciliations for fixed income assets and monitor related suspense balances.
• Complete monthly reconciliations between source systems, the Oracle general ledger, and Clearwater; prepare correcting journal entries when needed.
• Assist with statutory financial reporting and respond to requests from management and other departments.
• Document business requirements, participate in testing, troubleshoot information flows, and recommend process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of five years of experience with a degree.
• Advanced computer skills.
• Knowledge of accounting practices, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Knowledge of investment vehicles such as securities, residential mortgage loans, and private equities.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, attention-to-detail, multitasking, and deadline-management skills.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of statutory-basis reporting.
• Experience mentoring analysts on reconciliations and operational processes.
