Part-Time (CAN) Pharmacy Assistant

Location: 80 Buchanan Dr, Charlottetown, PE C1E 2E5, Canada

Salary: CAD 20.15–26.42 per hour, based on relevant experience.

What you will do

• Receive prescriptions and check required patient, prescriber, allergy, insurance, and dosage information.
• Enter and update patient data, process prescriptions and refills, perform price checks, and generate reports.
• Fill and prepare prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, completing accuracy, visual, and DIN checks.
• Maintain medication and supply inventory, process pharmacy orders and returns, and remove expired products.
• Keep the dispensary, equipment, supplies, and records clean, organized, and up to date.
• Support OTC operations, ordering, stocking, cashier duties, and customer service as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to follow provincial legal and regulatory requirements for prescription processing.
• Ability to interpret written prescriptions, recognize drug names, calculate dosages, and use pharmacy computer systems.
• Ability to work under pharmacist supervision and maintain a clean, safe, and organized pharmacy environment.
