Pay range: $25.00–$60.00

What you will do
- Create detailed physical and electrical designs for high-voltage substations under the supervision of a technical lead.
- Prepare CAD drawings, project documentation, estimates, and bills of materials.
- Develop substation general arrangements, section and elevation views, conduit, grounding, fencing, lighting, and foundation plans.
- Provide design engineering support to project technical leads and complete assigned work within timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.
- Build expertise in SEL equipment, power-system protection, automation solutions, and industry design practices.
- Assist and mentor junior designers and drafters and provide feedback on process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology or a related design discipline, an associate’s degree in EET, CAD, drafting, or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- Four or more years of relevant high-voltage electrical design experience, including substation design or protective relay control systems.
- Experience with an electrical utility, consulting firm, or system integrator.
- Knowledge of protective relay and/or automation applications and the ability to learn technical product concepts.
- Demonstrated CAD drafting competency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation.
- Ability to work onsite in Lewis Center, Ohio; King of Prussia, Pennsylvania; or Wesley Chapel, Florida.
