Portfolio Associate (Finance)

Location: HQ - San Diego, California, United States; onsite

Salary: $85,000–$100,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus targets of 12.5% cash and 12.5% restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Monitor an assigned non-real estate lender finance loan portfolio for payments, maturities, covenant compliance, and required documentation.
• Track, escalate, and document covenant breaches, exceptions, and emerging credit risks.
• Support quarterly and annual loan reviews, including financial analysis and risk rating recommendations.
• Assist with amendments, waivers, extensions, and ongoing portfolio maintenance.
• Support portfolio reporting, stress testing, and audit or regulatory requests.
• Maintain loan data and ownership in nCino and related systems while identifying data issues and improving reporting processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in portfolio management, credit analysis, or commercial lending.
• Working knowledge of financial statements, credit agreements, and covenant structures.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to manage deadlines with a high level of attention to detail.
• Successful completion of a credit check, criminal background check, and pre-employment drug screening is required.

• Experience with nCino, Moody’s, or similar credit systems.
