Belleville Plant Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Belleville plant, Belleville, Ontario, Canada; onsite work with 12-hour rotating shifts including days, nights, and weekends

Starting pay: $27.50 per hour; plant technicians are also offered a $3.20 shift premium.

Procter & Gamble operates a 24/7 manufacturing site producing Always pads, liners, and Always Discreet adult incontinence products for global distribution.

What you will do

• Operate, adjust, change over, clean, and maintain high-speed automated converting and packing equipment.
• Control manufacturing processes through computer terminal systems and analyze operational data.
• Perform preventive maintenance and contribute to site maintenance, equipment ownership, and operations capability.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, solve complex problems, and remove barriers to production.
• Support manufacturing projects and help develop additional production capacity.
• Work independently and as part of a self-directed team while managing multiple priorities.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in Canada; work authorization sponsorship is not available.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
• Valid G2 or higher Ontario driver’s license.
• Strong troubleshooting, technical, analytical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools, lift 40 pounds, and stand, climb, bend, twist, and move around stairs, ladders, platforms, and concrete floors for extended periods.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts and operate a forklift after completing required training.
