Company
develops and manufactures USDA-licensed veterinary biologics for the animal health industry in an ISO 9001-certified facility.
What you will do
- Provide scientific leadership and technical oversight for commercial veterinary biological production at Establishment #345.
- Lead large-scale BSL2 production cycles, including fermentation, cell culture, and upstream and downstream manufacturing processes.
- Drive process and yield improvement initiatives through small-scale trials and continuous improvement projects involving equipment and instrumentation.
- Lead investigations and root cause analyses for OOS, OOT, and OOE events, document deviations, and recommend engineering changes.
- Manage master seed inventory, reference standard qualifications, in-process analytical testing, serial assay review, and reference standard review.
- Ensure compliance with corporate, USDA, OSHA, environmental, GMP, GDP, and other applicable regulatory requirements while supporting the Lab Director and Quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in chemistry, microbiology, or a related scientific discipline.
- 5β10 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, biologics, or related manufacturing environments, with progressive leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of fermentation, bioprocessing bioreactors, tanks, support equipment, GMP, and GDP.
- Ability to follow manufacturing outlines, standard operating procedures, and corporate and regulatory policies.
- Strong written and verbal communication, effective time management, initiative, and ability to support or train colleagues.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction; visa sponsorship is not available.

- Laboratory inventory supply management and production forecasting experience.
