Summer 2027 Internship - Land Development

Location: Orlando, Florida; other available Florida offices are Jacksonville, Fort Myers, and Sarasota.

hirify.global provides civil engineering services for transportation, water resources, environmental, survey, and residential or commercial land development projects.

What you will do

• Assist project managers and engineers with plans, specifications, cost estimates, redlines, submittals, exhibits, and as-built drawings.
• Support the design of residential, commercial, and site development projects, including grading, drainage, and utility layouts.
• Analyze engineering parameters, site constraints, design alternatives, technical requirements, and applicable standards.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D and other computer-aided design tools to create drawings and supporting documents.
• Prepare technical reports, memoranda, and engineering studies using approved formats.
• Participate in site visits, field activities, construction observation, data collection, and permitting coordination.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil or Agricultural Engineering at an ABET-accredited college or university.
• Familiarity with engineering principles, practices, and procedures.
• Basic proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, while adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
