Senior Manager, Software Engineering - Zelle (Java/AWS)

Location: San Francisco, with a hybrid work model. Candidates must independently be eligible to work in the United States for any employer. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $180,000–$240,000 USD per year in San Francisco. Phoenix and Chicago pay range: $150,000–$200,000 USD per year. Additional discretionary incentive plan and benefits are available.

What you will do

• Manage the activities and delivery capacity of two or more software engineering teams.
• Guide the design, development, implementation, and production maintenance of product engineering components.
• Provide technical guidance on architecture, engineering patterns, automation, and application and system improvements.
• Promote Agile software development and DevOps practices, including continuous integration and delivery.
• Coordinate with other departments as the primary liaison for Engineering.
• Support budgets, schedules, service-level objectives, business continuity, disaster recovery, risk management, and data protection.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience.
• At least three years of experience managing development using full-stack technologies, Java, Spring, and AWS Cloud.
• Experience with system automation, scripting, Chef, Puppet or similar tools, cloud technologies, automated testing, and continuous integration and delivery.
• Knowledge of architecture and design concepts, operating systems, databases, networking, security, and open-source frameworks.
• Proven leadership experience managing DevOps teams and collaborating across an organization.
• Ability to manage multiple deadline-driven projects and pass a background and drug screen.
