TL;DR
Facility Digitization Coordinator (DART) (Digital Health/EMR): Coordinating facility-level digitization across Health Centre IV facilities, including ICT infrastructure deployment, EMR implementation, commissioning, asset management, and user readiness with an accent on integrating connectivity, power, training, and support into one operational package. Focus on assessing site readiness, coordinating installation waves and regional contractors, resolving implementation barriers, and establishing maintenance and handover processes.
Location: Kampala, Uganda, with national and regional travel as required. Current work authorization in Uganda is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do
- Coordinate facility readiness assessments, prioritization, technical specifications, bills of quantities, and deployment wave plans for targeted Health Centre IV facilities.
- Coordinate the delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, and site acceptance of computers, tablets, mini-servers, LANs, connectivity, peripherals, and power-backup systems.
- Align installation waves with Ministry of Health-approved EMR configuration, testing, training, and go-live plans.
- Coordinate regional ICT contractors, facility teams, Ministry of Health and Directorate of Health Informatics stakeholders, district teams, and partners to resolve implementation barriers.
- Maintain asset registers, warranty and lifecycle documentation, commissioning records, acceptance evidence, and issue escalation procedures.
- Monitor deployment progress, system uptake, implementation risks, device management, spares, preventive maintenance, and handover arrangements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in health informatics, information technology, engineering, public health, project management, or a related field.
- At least five years of experience coordinating health-facility digitization, EMR deployment, ICT infrastructure, or large-scale field implementation.
- Experience with facility readiness assessments, ICT procurement and deployment, asset management, and user-training coordination.
- Knowledge of EMR implementation, health-facility workflows, connectivity, power constraints, and regional logistics is strongly preferred.
- Strong project coordination, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and English communication skills.
- Must hold current work authorization in Uganda.
