TL;DR
Process Consultant, Customs & Foreign Trade, Americas (Automotive) (Customs, SAP, ERP): Improving and standardizing automotive customs processes across the Americas with an accent on customs compliance, SAP process design, training, and IT integration. Focus on implementing regulatory changes, designing ERP customs templates, supporting SAP rollouts, and integrating customs software with authorities.

Location: Queretaro, Mexico

What you will do

  • Continuously improve, implement, and document customs processes across the Americas.
  • Develop training materials and train customs team members and other functions.
  • Act as the interface between Customs & Foreign Trade Americas and IT.
  • Support the implementation of legal changes in cooperation with customs, IT, supply chain, sales, and logistics functions.
  • Represent Customs & Foreign Trade in ERP projects and global SAP rollout projects.
  • Design ERP templates for customs processes and support customs software implementation where applicable.

Requirements

  • University studies focused on foreign trade or customs law, advanced customs administration training, or comparable qualifications.
  • Automotive customs experience and at least five years of experience in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of US, Mexican, and Brazilian customs regulations.
  • In-depth SAP process knowledge and experience with customs software and interfaces to customs authorities, such as ATLAS.
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Fluent English, both verbal and written, is required.
