What you will do

• Conduct day and night underwater cleaning and maintenance of saltwater and freshwater exhibits and habitats.
• Follow environmental requirements and commercial diving regulations during all underwater work.
• Operate pneumatic, hydraulic, hand, and power tools, as well as small gas and electric engines and pumps.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and minimum age of 18.
• SCUBA certification, a pre-employment dive physical, and a qualifying swim/dive test are required.
• ADCI commercial diver certification and at least one year of diving work experience are required.
• Basic understanding of engines, pumps, pneumatic tools, hydraulic tools, hand tools, and power tools.
• Ability to complete CPR training, swim, work in and around water, and learn to use protective gear.
• Ability to work varying shifts, including opening and closing shifts, and lift, push, or pull up to 75 pounds independently or 300 pounds with assistance.

Nice to have

• Valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain a company driver’s license.
• Knowledge of diver’s diseases and emergency remedial procedures.
