Geotechnical Design Engineer

Location: Tampa, Florida, United States; hybrid schedule with up to 40% remote work.

What you will do

• Perform engineering calculations under the supervision of a Professional Engineer.
• Collect, correlate, and analyze data for water resources design projects.
• Document project decisions, engineering results, and design information.
• Coordinate project work with engineers, technicians, and drafting personnel.
• Learn and apply accepted design criteria and methodologies.
• Conduct construction field visits as required by project assignments.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience engineering dams, levees, and flood control structures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
• Excellent technical, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in or regularly attend activities associated with the Tampa, Florida office.
